COUNSELING VERSUS COACHING
Counseling and Coaching are similar but are not to be confused as the same. Both practices utilize knowledge of human behavior and interactive technique but maintain varying levels of professional responsibility, focus, and intensity.
COUNSELING
- Counseling is a psychology specialty designed to help patients cope with psychological problems and reach a standard of optimal well-being.
- Counseling is a process that allows you the freedom to discuss issues that are often painful or difficult to discuss with others. Doing it alone makes it even more difficult.
- Counseling allows you to explore various possible resolutions to personal struggles and challenges you experience day-to-day, in a positive and constructive way.
- Counseling is a problem-focused collective of past experiences, mental conditions, and other personal issues.

- Coaching doesn’t involve a diagnosis. However, as a licensed professional counselor and marriage and family therapist, Jill White-Huffman is subject to laws of confidentiality and bound by the obligations of mandated reporting.
- Coaching is meaningful and productive for all areas of your life if past issues have been handled properly and you are ready to move forward!
